What to expect from your consultation?
The first session will be a free 30-minute consultation. This time gives you a taste of what therapy is like. I will share a bit about myself and the therapy I provide, then begin to learn about you and why you have come to therapy. This is also a great time to ask me any additional questions you may have as we determine if the therapeutic relationship is a good fit.
How long is each session and how often will we meet?
Usually, a therapy session lasts 50 minutes. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is meant to be long-term therapy and most clients benefit from starting with weekly sessions. However, it is your decision in terms of the frequency of sessions.
Can I submit your service to my insurance company?
Yes, most health insurance plans will provide coverage for fees paid for psychotherapy. I provide receipts that you can submit to your insurance company.
